HatchLatch Keeps Passengers Safely Inside
By restricting doors from being opened manually outside the levelling (landing) zone, HatchLatch makes it
impossible for passengers to try to leave the cab.
The HatchLatch system operates via the positioning of reflective tape in the hatchway inside the landing zone
and on the door operator. Two photoeyes "see" the tape, sensing the position of the elevator in the landing zone,
allowing the door to open. Between landing zones, the photoeye senses no tape reflection and the plunger holds
its door blocking position.
Features:
- Power supply with 4-hour battery back up; alerts the mechanic when disabled
- Nine foot photoeye cable
- 2"-wide reflector tape, plus a dust washer and handy connectors
- Patented and CSA approved
- Works with any door operator
